In the area of Performing Arts, Ashley University brings professionals who share a passion for Music and vision on how it can transform society. With a comprehensive development of the skills and intellectual potential and expressive skills, graduate students are able to cope with various course materials, flexibility to adapt to new formats and channels like the Internet, and work on changing cultural environments within the context of emerging international co-productions.

The Division has been preceded by the initiative to combine the strengths of the state of the art technology and teaching methods, in order to give coherence and force to study art characterized as projects supported by education and teaching indefinite or weak in their structure, with no prospect that fortify the scattered consistent arts education.

The program for Performing Arts have been planned for graduates who are looking to continue careers and study arts management, cultural criticism, entertainment law, media studies, music journalism or musicology. The Music Program at Ashley University is offering practical experience as well theory in music history, criticism, theory, composition, audio technology and presentation. Students aiming to do this degree are given the chance to dedicate themselves to diversified musical forms such as jazz, rock, dance, film, and music from around the globe.

Scope

The rising demand for talented artists in the entertainment, production, and media industries shows that graduates of performing arts have a bright future ahead. Theater majors can opt for careers in film and television, on top of festivals. "Jobs in the field are projected to grow up by close to 11 percent between 2008 and 2018, despite the fierce competition mainly in the acting field." - U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (www.bls.gov).

And the same way, other performing arts graduates have the opportunity to either join companies or find their own niche using their talent of singing or acting or directing.
