Ashley University Division of Political Sciences Public Administration is at the forefront of teaching and research in political science and also enjoys a strong international reputation.
We offer a wide range of courses in public policy, international relations, effects of law and legislation, political economy and government policies. Our courses are concerned with how we make sense of the world in which we live, the current challenges we face and how international political institutions ought to respond to complex policy problems in an era of globalization and rapid social change.
The Division of Political Science and International Studies has a very strong research profile. The Division's academic staff members are all actively engaged in researching and publishing in their fields and are revered internationally.
By studying in the Division you can develop specialist skills in areas such as region, human rights and justice, changing international economy, the media and politics, social inequality and unemployment, feminism and the changing role of women in society, international development, conflict resolution in the international arena, privatization, deregulation and the role of the public sector, and political issues facing international policy makers. Our courses also explore political philosophy, social theory and social science research methods within the limitations of Public administration.
The Division of Political Science and Public Administration presently offers two majors namely, Political Sciences and Public Administration, where students can prepare for exquisite careers in public and government offices in their home countries and around the globe.
